Make the paperwork make sense

Which addendum belongs with the offer? What should a buyer investigate during due diligence? How do prorations, deposits, and closing costs affect the amount due at settlement?

Post 302 connects those questions to the work you do as a North Carolina real estate broker. Through videos, interactive activities, podcasts, and practical exercises, you’ll work through the details that matter from offer preparation to closing.

Build confidence with the forms, procedures, and calculations you’ll encounter in real transactions.

Why choose Skyline for Post 302?

What you’ll learn

The course follows the North Carolina Real Estate Commission’s Post 302 curriculum, including:

  • Contract fundamentals: Understand offer and acceptance, enforceability, and the difference between adding to a contract and changing its terms.

  • Sales contracts and addenda: Practice completing commonly used forms and recognizing when additional documents are needed.

  • Contract procedures and buyer due diligence: Connect deadlines, inspections, financing, and property investigations to your responsibilities in a transaction.

  • Closing preparation and procedures: Understand the steps and coordination involved in moving a transaction toward settlement.

  • Closing disclosures and settlement calculations: Work through prorations, debits, credits, deposits, and buyer and seller closing figures.

  • Federal settlement requirements: Build your understanding of RESPA and the TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure requirements.

  • Additional required topics: Explore options, contracts for deed, and selected license status and education issues.

Know before you enroll

Course credit: Post 302 provides 30 hours of North Carolina postlicensing education. It is one of the three courses in the 90-hour postlicensing program and is separate from annual continuing education.

Access and completion: Your course expires exactly 180 days from your purchase date and time. Complete all required work and pass the final exam before expiration. An unsuccessful exam attempt does not restart or extend that period.

Your licensing deadline: The course access period does not extend your individual NCREC postlicensing deadline. Plan to finish before both deadlines, allowing time for review and any retakes. Review NCREC’s postlicensing deadline guidance.

Exam equipment: You’ll need a compatible desktop or laptop computer, a working webcam and microphone, reliable internet, and a valid government-issued photo ID. Tablets and Chromebooks cannot be used for the proctored final exam. Follow the course’s software setup and exam-readiness instructions before testing.
